Open play bowling is simply bowling for the fun of it. Duckpins are great for the entire family and open play hours are the time to come out for something you can all do together.

Practically any person of any age can play. Duckpin bowling is especially great for kids or elderly family members because the ball is much smaller than a tenpin ball. In fact, balls usually weigh between 2-3 lbs with the maximum weight of a duckpin ball being 3 lbs 12 ounces. The balls also don't have holes. So kids can hold it with two hands and play along with the adults (something all kids love).

The best part is duckpins are both enjoyable and challenging! (In fact many say it is more challenging than tenpin bowling.) The only other major difference you may not be aware of is that you get 3 balls instead of 2 each frame!
